The homeowners love their neighborhood. So, instead of moving, they decided they wanted to build a two-story addition. The first floor adds space for an updated kitchen. The second floor adds a master bedroom, a walk-in closet, and a luxurious bathroom.

Taking time to design the layout is time well-spent.  Speaking with vendors and specifying materials should be done before a final layout is drawn.

Two-Story Addition

Experts in design, cabinetry, flooring, fixtures, and tile will give you good ideas on how to be most efficient.  They’ll tell you that you really should add a foot in the bathroom to accommodate a larger tub, or by changing the kitchen layout, you can add a pantry closet.

Premiere Home Stagers will help you select the appropriate colors and furniture layout and give you good advice on how to make the rooms flow well.

Kitchen After

On this remodel, there were few changes from the original design. The under-cabinet outlets and lights do not interrupt the backsplash tile. The cork floor is easy on the legs, yet resilient to water.  The cabinets now go all the way to the ceiling, gaining valuable storage space.  A closet pantry stores appliances and food.

Open Support Niche

This structural support post has an open niche for natural light and display.

The master bathroom is definitely luxurious with a steam shower and soaking tub encased in tile.
