Last blog we featured a sun room that needed to become an adult space.  We minimized the toys and added two large lounging chairs oriented to the view outside.  Do you recognize those chairs in this living room photo?

This room, while large, contained too many pieces of furniture.  All are oriented toward the TV (opposite the sofa) and the leather swivel chairs feel like second row seating.

The large chaise in front of the fireplace blocked the view and access to the outdoor space beyond.

By removing the extra chairs, pulling the rug forward and repositioning the sofa toward the foyer the room has a new feel.  The leather swivel chairs are now conversationally positioned.  There is direct access and sightline to the deck outside.

The large colorful canvas will be hung to replace two smaller pieces.  It warms up the space and coordinates with the sectional pillows.  The wooden coffee table was removed and the contemporary glass one added.  The room has a sleek and modern, but welcoming, atmosphere.

The view from the foyer now draws buyers in — to the living room and beyond.
