It is fairly easy to determine the demographic of the homeowner from this living room photo.  When listing your home, it is wise to make the home transitional.  From Wikipedia:  “Transitional furniture designs are classic, timeless, and clean. Curves combine with straight lines in a transitional style interior to deliver a look that balances both masculine and feminine attributes for a comfortable, contemporary design.”

Premiere Home Stagers was contacted for a consultation.  After the homeowner finished his “to-do” list, we returned to do the staging.

Correct furniture placement is key to staging.  Before, the sofa table blocked the entrance to the room. Whereas after staging, the openess of the room welcomes people to come sit down and visualize themselves living here.

This room can be used as an office or a formal dining room because of  two doorways–one is off the front hallway (behind the curtain) and the other leads to the kitchen.  (It was being used as a temporary bedroom at the time of the photo.)

Simple, clean-lined office furniture is a transitional style that works well in this room. The screen adds some vertical height to the corner.

The homeowner understands the value of staging.  Instead of waiting a few months to “test the market”, he had it staged before listing it.  His wisdom will soon pay off.    Call Premiere Home Stagers at 608-345-9396.
