It goes without saying that every home on the market should welcome a prospective buyer.  But does furniture placement demonstrate that?

When entering the living room above, buyers were confronted with a visual barrier in the form of this console table and the loveseat behind it.  Even the lamp hinders the view to the fireplace.  The focal point becomes the console table rather than the salient architectural feature — the fireplace.  The curtains also distract from the fireplace.

Now this is the view from the foyer.  By removing the physical and visual barriers a prospective buyer is welcomed all the way in to this beautiful living room.  Attention is drawn to the fireplace and the spaciousness of the room is demonstrated by the furniture placement.  The room feels balanced without the large entertainment center on the left wall.

This room is now a visual invitation to call this house “home”.
