Red is indeed a bold color and can be used quite nicely as an accent color. However, for a dining room, perhaps a more soothing color goes better with a meal.
Premiere Home Stagers recommended a more neutral palate for this house because it was listed for sale. Paint colors are taste-specific; therefore, it is desirable not to alienate people who find them too personal.
