Some home stagers have the luxury nearby rental furniture companies when staging a vacant home. Madison area home stagers have just a couple of choices, subject to the inventory they have on hand. Thus, it’s hard to plan out a scheme when asked for a proposal and then it’s a few weeks later that the staging occurs.
Premiere Home Stagers decided some time ago that having our own inventory made sense in terms of cost and availability. So where does our inventory pieces come from? Actually, from almost everywhere! New stores, discount stores, re-sale shops, moving sales, and Craig’s List. People who are moving far away tend to sell their belongings rather than pay someone to move them.
Craig’s List Salon Chair
Most items are in great condition and just need some general cleaning. Some pieces have great “bones” but need updating. I purchased two of these orange chairs from Craig’s List for a good price and then reupholstered the seat cushion and used another pillow for the back. I kept a little of the orange base because it complemented with the orange in the cushion. The woven chair backs provide some texture and interest.
