New Paint Scheme

New Paint Scheme

This homeowner loves color. She is not planning on moving anytime soon, so she decided to brighten up her living room walls with Sherwin-Williams 6215 Rocky River paint color.  Yes,  the living room is darker than before, but because there are two sets of large windows, it doesn’t feel dark. If you want a slightly lighter color instead, go up one swatch on the paint deck to SW6214 Underseas.

Neutral sofa

The  picture frame was painted to match the neutral sofa.  A unique way to hang artwork is to put a picture inside a larger picture frame to better fill a large wall.

The original tan  paint color remains in the adjacent room, as well as in the built-in cubby.

When the paint color changed, so did the accessories.  The vase matches the paint color and the yellow forsythia branches complement it. Instead of hanging a picture above the fireplace, the mirror reflects light.

Hand-made Valance

A nice way to bring in some interest and punches of color  is by finding fabric that complements your color scheme.  These hand-sewn window valances and sofa pillows help unify the cabinetry, trim, and fireplace mantel.

Paint should be the last item chosen because you can find paint in every color imaginable. Call Premiere Home Stagers for your paint consultation.  608-345-9396.
