Premiere Home Stagers uses air mattresses for the box spring and mattress when staging a vacant home. It’s just too difficult to haul a queen box spring with a corresponding mattress up to the second floor, especially in an older home with a narrow staircase. However, some air mattresses lose air before too long, so I looked for an alternative.
Twin Bed
This twin bed has a regular mattress and a “Bunkie board” as a frame support. I wanted to try out a bi-fold box spring I found out about through staging colleagues.
It arrives in a flat box, easily manageable for the delivery driver.

All you need to do is unfold it and zip it closed and Voila, a completely useable box spring, all for $88!

The bi-fold box spring is brilliant design. Perfect for home stagers because it’s not too heavy and can be easily stored. I think I’ll be purchasing a couple of queen-size bi-fold box springs soon!
