Premiere Home Stagers receives requests for re-designs from time-to-time.  We love doing re-designs as an alternative to home staging.  A re-design means the homeowner is NOT selling their house, but wants a more cohesive, “put-together” look.  They know it just doesn’t “feel right,” but don’t know how to make it better.

For one client, we consulted on furniture arrangement, flooring, kitchen and bathroom countertops, and paint colors.  However, we just could not convince the homeowner of one change that we think will affect the over-all outcome, not to mention re-sale value.

We could not convince the homeowner to lower the dishwasher to normal counter height.  The dishwasher, by default, becomes the focal point because of its height.

The newly-chosen granite has a beautiful color scheme and some movement, which will be interrupted by the dishwasher.  The peninsula will be enlarged, but will be “cut off” from the rest of the countertop because of the dishwasher height.
