Of course, as a home stager, I usually recommend staging a vacant house.  But during winter months in Wisconsin, it is necessary.  You need to add warmth to each room–both literally and figuratively.

This room could be used in a variety of ways because it’s on the main level, whereas the other three bedrooms are on the second level.  It could be a TV room, a den, a library, a guest room, an office, a music room, a craft room, etc.

Apparently it was difficult for people to imagine how one could use this open space wisely.  I would place a dining table in this space with a buffet against the inside wall (on the left).  I would also place a bench for people to sit when taking off their shoes.  Notice the arched niche.  It is tall and narrow, but just the right piece could evoke an emotional connection.

The great room is indeed “great” in size and two steps down from the kitchen/dining area.  The fireplace is the focal point of the room, but furniture placement can be challenging with so much space.

I hope I have an opportunity to follow-through with my proposal to stage the main level of this custom-built property.  I scoured regional suppliers for just the right components.

Yes, houses do sell during Wisconsin winter months.  But adding warmth is sure to speed up that process.  Call Premiere Home Stagers at 608-345-9396.
