As soon as a prospective buyer walks into this house, they would assume the style is traditional and masculine.

Living Room

Living Room

How can one tell?  The massive stone fireplace is high off the floor and with no mantle; the dark-colored shelving units that flank the fireplace hold the large TV; the large-scale furniture; the wrought iron balusters; plus, one of the sofas acts as a barrier from the entryway, which is not welcoming.

Dining Room

The masculinity continues into the dining area off the kitchen.  The heavy wood bench and chairs and strong-iron light fixture all suggest you should eat and then depart to another room, rather than “sit a spell” after the meal is finished.

Office

Office

Even the office has a masculine look due to the dark area rug and the leather and wood chair.
