Sometimes a realtor, a remodeler, and/or the seller “jump the gun” on getting an estimate from the home stager.  I was called out to produce a quote before the property was finished.  I understand the desire to get the house listed as quickly as possible.  Plus, by having a deadline to meet, the workers tend to put in more effort to meet that deadline.  However, there were things I was not aware of at the time of my quote.

I was not aware there would be a shelf divider by the front door.  I was not made aware of the open shelf in the kitchen to hold stemware.  Both of these places required particular accessories.  Luckily, the realtor brought in a few items for these spaces.  Also, two stained-glass windows in yellows and greens were installed on either side of the fireplace. I was glad my color scheme coordinated with these colors.  Next time I will take a second look.

The challenge here was needing to work around the “last-minute” workers.  Their tools were on the counter top, the electrician was working on the fireplace, touch-up painting was being done everywhere, and people were scurrying all about.

A long great room needs to be divided into two conversation areas.  This conversation area pays homage to the fireplace; whereas the front area can be a place to sip a beverage while watching the neighbors stroll by.

The kitchen and dining areas are spacious enough to accommodate your guests as they mingle throughout.  The cook can converse with guests in the dining area or guests sitting on the love seats near the fireplace.

I love that this room in the back of the house could either be a guest room or an office.  There is a lot of natural light and the backyard landscaping is worth the view.  The main level bathroom includes a shower, added during a two-story addition project.

The location of this property couldn’t be better.  It is close to trendy shops, medical facilities, and within biking distance of the University.  It is sure to be scooped up.
