Each year my family heads to Florida for some rest and relaxation, but mostly to get a respite from the cold, snowy Wisconsin winters.
This is usually how the condo looks like:
The sectional sofa is not very comfortable and the carpet is clean, although worn after many years of use.
So, imagine our surprise that over the course of a year, everything was updated.
I love the new black and tan carpet! It’s pretty bold as compared with the original. The new sofa and loveseat can be rearranged easier than a sectional can. The dining banquette received new built-in upholstered cushions and a new table and chairs.
A new paint scheme of dark tan and sage green complements the dark woodwork. The striped draperies add some dimension.
This hallway carpet is stunning against the dark grey walls and white woodwork.
Even the smaller accents like this hallway cabinet and mirror and hallway artwork make this complex feel more upscale and previously.
Those nasty bedspreads that never get washed were replaced by a decorative strip. Now all the bedding gets washed after each guest’s use.
It’s been so nice of a change that instead of leaving the condo first thing and returning after sundown, we leisurely have tea/coffee on the screened porch and admire the view both inside and outside.
