Re-designed Family Room

Like many homeowners at this time of the year, a family member is graduating and they were sending out invitations.  After realizing that many people would be at their home, they thought it best to call upon Premiere Home Stagers to re-design their family room.

The fireplace wall with shelving is the focal point and should stand on its own. The furniture was against the walls and facing the TV, which made the middle of the room empty.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With regard to TV watching and being able to exit onto the deck through the middle patio door, Premiere Home Stagers re-arranged the furniture and redesigned the shelving.

A sofa table was brought in from the living room and placed behind the love seat. This made the loveseat move forward and created a nice conversation grouping.  By placing the TV on an angle, it is visible from every seat.

Placing items on the shelves should include some decorative pieces as well as some functional pieces such as books or larger family photos. It is important to leave some empty space so as to let your eye “rest.”  The homeowner was especially pleased she now has a place to show off the Mexican pottery she received as a gift many years ago.
