The seller told me she would do anything to sell her house, even if it meant starting from scratch.  Her family had lived in the house for decades, and she recognized that some things were definitely outdated and needed to be changed.  Premiere Home Stagers arrived right after the painting was finished and the new upstairs carpeting was laid.  She left everything out so I could pick and choose the items I thought “worthy enough” to stay.

With the french doors closed, the parlor looked smaller.  Plus, I kept hitting my lower leg onto the corner of the glass coffee table.

People might wonder what they would use this room for.  By re-arranging some items (e.g., removing the glass coffee table), and by placing coffee cups and reading material on the end tables, it becomes obvious that this is a quiet zone for reading or personal conversation.  One could put in a piano or make this an office as well.

Notice that by opening the french doors, there is a nice flow-through from the front door to the family room.

The dining room is off the front door also.  While it is a nice space, it could use some elegance and sophistication.

Adding some formal glassware and some interest to the cabinetry and by placing a colorful table centerpiece elevated this room to being formal.

The family room is a large room that flows into the dinette and kitchen.  All the family activities would probably take place in this area of the house.

Note that the loveseat makes a barrier from the kitchen into the family room.

We decided to replace the love seat with an easy chair to eliminate any barriers and make the room feel larger.

Wow, what a difference!  It is so important to make a good first impression.

All-in-all, the only items the seller needed to purchase was an area rug, some bathroom towels, and a throw for the parlor loveseat.
