The homeowners recently remodeled their master bathroom, and now turned their attention to the adjoining master bedroom.

The original style was traditional…dark cherry bedroom furniture, custom draperies with a cornice board, and a large matted painting over the headboard.

The tall dresser was moved down the wall a bit so as not to be a barrier when entering.  A new color scheme in gray and light teal bed linens makes the room less formal, especially with a cityscape canvas above the bed.

The cornice board was removed and curtain panels replaced the heavy drapes.  The chair complements the light teal bedding and makes for a cozy reading spot.

Even though the traditional furniture remains, it is balanced with lighter colors and fewer dresser-top items.  The new master bathroom colors of gray and mint green perfectly complement the master bedroom now.
